#15 is the three-stage exhibition to celebrate, with the contribution of 15 artists, the first 15 years of contemporary art projects and shows of 1/9unosunove.

#15 è il progetto espositivo in tre atti che celebra, attraverso il contributo di 15 artisti, i primi 15 anni di attività di mostre e progetti di arte contemporanea di 1/9unosunove.

The result of the first experiments in ‚blind painting‘ carried out in the mid-80s at the Jartrakor research center in Rome, Giovanni Di Stefano’s work tackles the issue of error amplification. By drawing the surface blindfolded, the only orientation is given by touching the surface, a determining element for executive spontaneity. The work becomes the documentation of an event, an experiment on the authenticity of emotions and the loss of space-time orientation. 

Frutto dei primi esperimenti di ‘pittura cieca’ svolti a metà degli anni 80 presso il centro di ricerca Jartrakor a Roma, l’opera di Giovanni Di Stefano  affronta il tema dell’amplificazione dell’errore. Disegnando la superficie ad occhi bendati, l’unico orientamento è dato dal tatto, elemento determinante per la spontaneità esecutiva. L’opera diventa la documentazione di un evento, esperimento sull’autenticità delle emozioni e la perdita dell’orientamento spazio-temporale.
